Fantastic villa and the hosts, Patricia and Olivier, were super helpful and friendly. Very comfortable room with all amenities you can wish for. Also a pool and outdoor bar area were very cool. Every morning Olivier brought fresh breakfast pastries and other goodies. An easy walk down to the small town and big beach. Highly recommended!

There was no wifi or breakfast. However, the room was nestled off in a quaint little foyer which gave a private feel.

It was very close to a beach and some decent restaurants. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable.

From villa not really walkable as street so very narrow.
From villa not really walkable as street so very narrow. Path not suitable for older folks or those with mobility problems. Had to drive. Good restaurants, beach and coffee shops. Grocery store close .
Easy drive to other beaches and towns for exploring.

The street closest to the beach where we stayed was the best 'old world' part of Salema. Other parts can be less aesthetically pleasing but the whole place is less fussy and busy than other coastal spots like Luz or Lagos. A quiet place worth 2 nights. Restaurant options good too, even in winter.

I loved this beach!
I loved this beach! It was so picturesque and uncluttered with commercialism. The water was a little too cold for us to swim, but it was a beautiful to stroll along the beach. Although this was a small beach, there were plenty of restaurants.

Quiet fishing village, not touristy.
Quiet fishing village, not touristy. Beautiful beaches and views of the ocean. Friendly people, good restaurants, lots of fresh fish. Easy to get around if you are wearing sturdy shoes as lots of steps and steep paths into the village from Salema Beach Village, however, there is a shuttle service from the hotel if required.

I deliberately chose to stay in Salema as I was looking for a small, pristine beach/fisherman g location - and I found it all there!
Salema has preserved its authentic self despite the tide of tourism that has engulfed other parts of the Algarve.
The beach is big enough to absorb many visitors without being full. The sand is beautiful and sunsets are of course very special.
The village has some very good restaurants, a gelateria and lots of cute shops.
And who doesn’t want to live, even temporarily, on Rua dos Pescadores!
The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 young children. The location within Salema was just perfect and a quick walk to the beach, with a lovely view. There are a couple nice restaurants nearby and a market with fresh baked goods. There was plenty of room and a very nice balcony. Salema is a great location within the Algarve and an easy drive to many activities. There were a couple days where dinner reservations in Salema were hard to come by so I'd recommend making some in advance if you can.
This was one of the most beautiful campings of our lives. We stayed in the tipi-tents in the middle of nature with a cosy and warm athmosphere. It's a unique quiet camping close to salema beach, best reachable by car.
Every wednesday, friday & saturday there's good live music at the restaurant, which is also very pleasant for a good diner or breakfast, and affordable.
There is a small eco supermarket we're you can buy very fresh bread and good pastery.
Great old house with lots of vintage character! The location is great, up on the hill with a great view. Garden and pool are nice. Lots of space in the living room/dining area. Great communication with the host. Parking available. Good WIFI. Quite at night. Just a 10 minute walk to the beach (very steep, so you have to be fit). Salema ist great. Nothing to complain about, we enjoyed the time here a lot and will be back.
The swimming pool was wonderful! We had easy access to it and we often had it all to ourselves. The apartment was within easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants in the old town. The kitchenette was well supplied with plates, cups and utensils. The fridge was great for keeping drinks cold. There were shops and a deli onsite.
Our room was fantastic. Appointments were stunning. Bed comfortable with quality beddings. Special lighting effects, push-button darkening drapes, triple sliders to balcony, stunning ocean views, stellar hot shower. We loved it all, including the warm and friendly staff at the hotel and Atlantic restaurant.
Location was great! Salema is quieter than the other towns but still has restaurants and things to do. Property is just lovely - patios in front of the rooms, shade umbrellas, nice honor bar. Rooms felt very clean and comfortable with lots of nice touches. Owner is very nice and we loved his friendly dog.
The location is very good. It is a moderate walk downhill to the beach and town, it is a steep climb back. The view from our unit, U20 was nice, but not like the photo on the website. Salema was recommended as a more picturesque beach town than other places in the Algarve and I have to agree.
close to the beautiful beach in Salema. It is always quiet and we have stayed here 5 times over the years…I should note that we always travel off season, so I cannot comment on the peak season of July and August. We love the outdoor space with the ability to always choose either sun or shade.
Location was great. Just the week family escape to the warm weather that we needed. Besides the beach located just some steps away, Salema also has good restaurants that offer great seafood. The house is well equipped and it was quite pleasant to have fruits and water ready upon our arrival.
We absolutely loved our stay at Romantik Villa. Our terrace was fantastic and the room was lovely - great sized bathroom. The breakfast each morning was a nice touch and Fabienne was really friendly and helpful. 5 min walk to Salema restaurants and the beach.
I loved everything about this place. The views, the smooth check-in and out process, the modern touches and finishes, the welcome snacks and wine, and the lovely town of Salema. It was painful to leave such a beautiful place!
Salema is a little gem… the apartment was beautifully decorated with everything one needs for a comfortable beach holiday. Vanessa and Josef are just lovely and very accommodating. It’s a very professional company.
Food is always good at the Atlantico restaurant below the hotel. The location is brilliant, right on the beach. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
A fabulous location in a relatively unspoilt area. Loved the views, proximity to restaurants and beach, the villa was superb and pool etc well maintained.
