The service was friendly, room/overall hotel was very clean, and it’s in a great location! 10/10 experience. We got upgraded to a top (4th) floor room with a spectacular patio view. Solid breakfast spread. We would book again for sure!

The property, with its apartments, is so unique. It reminds me a bit of a very upscale hostel. There are plenty of amenities, and the area across the road (skate ramp, pools, beach access), is just wonderful. It was a little chilly out, but we made use of the space and enjoyed the south beach. Our room had tons of light and its own balcony. Just lovely. Huge room! We would stay here again.

I didn't find anything special about this place that I would recommend anyone visit unless you're a surfer. I would say about 3-5 sights worth seeing, but nothing that you can't see anywhere else along the coast. If you're not a surfer, maybe try somewhere else. You need a car unless you love walking hills and long streets with little to nothing on them.

Great surfing beaches for all levels, and lots of availability to hire board and wetsuits and other gear. Lots of lessons available from great expert teachers. Restaurants in town are sublime and the bars are open til 3am. Best place we ate at was a Mexican place called Calavera, Very easy to walk around or get an uber, but also easy by car, lots of parking available unless it's a Sunday! Avoid waiting for your first surf lesson, after 2 lessons you're pretty much a intermediate and can catch waves on your own whilst practicing!!

Ericeira is possibly one of the best places I ever have visited, local fisherman village now with a busy life particularly with surfers, great place to visit, being for relaxing or busy with water activities, the surrounding area is also worth a visit like Mafra and Torres Vedras, and a stone through to Sintra and Cascais.

Ericeira is an absolute gem.
Ericeira is an absolute gem. There are lots of lovely sandy beaches which still feel rustic and not too busy, great surfing for beginners (like us!) and the more experienced, and a really lovely town with amazing restaurants and beautiful cobbled streets.

We stayed in Ericeira for 14 days and we loved it, nice climate if it isn't too windy. We spend most of the time at the beach, kids surfing or body boarding. There are lot's of restaurants in Ericeira and the food is good and there is quite a bit of variety.
With a car is is easy to get to other places like Mafra and Sintra. Sintra, while very beautiful is also very touristy which is detrimental to the experience, as it is with so many places nowadays.

BEAUTIFUL surf town, quaint and picturesque.
BEAUTIFUL surf town, quaint and picturesque. A couple of good coffee shops (Rose) and boutiques (magic quiver). Views are wonderful, easily accessible by car and foot. Some streets can be windy and narrow for a car, so be careful. And after 10:30am the parking was scarce.
Just before you get to the town, there are some great surf shops with skate ramps outside. All in all a great community, outdoors vibe.
The owner is so welcoming and offered us an upgrade. We were in the olive room. The b&b is new, spotless, comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and offers meat, cheese, yogurt, breads, sweets, juice; one day we hadceggs, the next pancakes. The breakfast room is bright and large. Nice balcony, good wifi, and good parking. It's easy to drive to Mafra and Ericeira for day trips. This is a great quiet place if traveling by car.
Apartment was a great size and everything a family would need for a week. Comfortable beds and sitting area and great balcony with view of sea and pool. The grounds were well maintained and security was good. The kids loved the swimming pool. Plenty of great beaches nearby and the fact apartment has parking space added bonus. The town of ericeira is very picturesque and lovely to walk around as well.
The host made our stay very comfortable with an easy check-in and check-out! We felt very comfortable and at home in the nice room with the belcony! It is a 15 min walk to the closest beach (with a nice restaurant) and 10 min only to a nice supermarket and surf shop, where you can eat meals and from where our surfing lessons started. The city center of Ericeira is a bit far but very beautiful!!
The Hotel is a lovely looking colonial building sitting right on the beach, breakfast was great, good powerful shower and comfy bed, nice and quiet, we had a sea view wit balcony which was lovely. the location is great for the town takes 5-10 mins to be in the midst of it all. i would recommend this hotel to others
Reasonably priced food and drink
I have a nice massage in the spa
Ericeira is a must if you're in Portugal! The town is charming and the view is absolutely stunning! The staff of the accommodation is super lovely, friendly and helpful.
We could upgrade to a superior, panorama room on the spot, and even the other room 'without sea-view' had a great panorama of the sea. :)
The equipment was great, rooms were cosy and spacious enough.
I’ve known Ericeira all my life. this fabulous place has been there a long time but I’d never had reason to book a hotel before. you can’t get a better location than this, and my room had a balcony with a seating area looking over the rooftops to the sea a few minutes walk away. friendly staff, clean, simple rooms with a proper unpretentious feel. outstanding.
Sandhi House is located in the heart of Ericeira, the beach is less than 5 minutes away.
It is such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The people there are very nice and helpful, the rooms are bright and clean with little details, the breakfast is tasty and varied. All this makes you feel at home.
Bonus - breathtaking ocean view from the terrace 💙
Very well presented 2* hotel. Clean throughout. Staff are very friendly and happy to help. We stayed on the top floor and the view was fantastic, on a clear day you can see Peña Palace.
Breakfast was lovely, everything was fresh and a good variety for a cold continental breakfast. Would happily stay again if visiting Ericeira.
Location was lovely - walking distance to cafes and shops, ocean overlooks phenomonal!
Apartment exceptional- space, amenities, cleanliness.
Staff friendly, helpful. Wish I could remember the name of the lovely young lady at the check-in desk that gave us the hotel tour. Wonderful!
Breakfast wonderful!
It was first time at Ericeira and Portugal. Very friendly and hospitality crew. I felt like visited my friends home during stay there.
I got my first surf lessons from guys and they are professional and really enjoyed. Definitely recommended and next time stay again there :)
The hotel is very well located, in the center of town, near restaurants, bars and not far from the ocean. Nice, classic decor. Clean, modern rooms. Very nice option of snacks and coffee/tea all day included. Breakfast good, very varied, full of fresh products.
Location,location, location :)
This flat is in the heart of Ericeira. it is within steps of restaurants, the beach, and the nightlife. Check in check out process was seamless. Parking, and driving is not overly difficult. Just takes a little bit of time.
Fantastic staff, kind and genuine people who didn’t make it feel like a stuffy five star hotel. This was my favorite stay on a two-week trip throughout Europe. Down to earth but still a wonderful place to rest and relax and have some pampering.
Wonderful stay at 70s Hostel! Maria is an amazing (above and beyond!) host and she really works hard to make her guests feel at home. This hostel is a perfect mix of relaxation, fun, and a good base to get to know Ericeira.
Beautifully designed and well laid out. Nice indoor pool and really nice spa, great to relax. Very spacious rooms with complete amenities. All in all very solid hotel
Excellent and lovely hotel. Staff is amazing!
The hotel is so charming - rooms are clean and a nice location for being in the center of the main area of town.
