Property is incredibly beautiful and relaxing. Pool area was lovely, gym was clean and decently outfitted with new equipment. Beds are wonderful- a true king size, Room was very large and comfortable but the retro theme was overkill/ especially the wall murals. Breakfast was amazing! Staff was very attentive.

Great location. We walked to all the attractions. We parked outside the wall in the Estacionamiento and walked into the hotel; it was a bit of a walk but we only packed for an overnight. Awesome breakfast and wonderful staff. I would stay again.

Évora is a beacon of heritage in the heart of rural Portugal. Life is played out among narrow, cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings that provide welcome shade. Most buildings are decorated with blue or yellow trim, giving this laidback city a coherent feel.
Blue tiles adorn the incredible interior of the Misericórdia Church, and the Church of St John the Evangelist also features this typical Alentejo style. The most outlandish is the Church of St Francis where one chapel is created entirely from human bones and skulls.
The Gothic cathedral has a peaceful cloister and next door is Évora Museum with its collection of medieval, Islamic and Roman artefacts. In the large square in front sit remains of the Roman Temple, and Roman bath ruins lie under the town hall.
The Palace of the Dukes of Cadaval has a turret-like tower, similar to those in the city walls. One of Évora’s most impressive monuments – the 16th-century Silver Water Aqueduct – passes right through the walls and used to end in large Praça do Giraldo, the city centre’s main square. Some of its stone arches have been cleverly bricked in to create bars and restaurants.
Booking.com’s accommodation in Évora includes luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels near the train station and guest houses by the university.
Evora is a one-night stay town. The Chaple of Bones was a great place to spend Halloween. Interesting history. A walk around the Public Park with the Peacocks was a fun experience. We ate at Dona Laura Restaurant which I would highly recommend to others. The Hotel was centrally located and we walked everywhere.
The one negative comment was that Evora was the first city I visited where beggars approached you aggressively holding small children.

Terrific historic town, wonderful preservant of ancient buildings, culture and history mixed with modern life. Disappointed that the palace and private church were closed on Monday—tour book had indicated otherwise. Definitely a town with rich heritage worth visiting.

Historical, relatively quiet, you can walk around feeling relaxed. Most restaurants are a little pricy. Having just experienced an expensive but very low quality restaurant in Sintra, we didn't dare to try expensive restaurants in Evora. Hotels are mostly high quality. It is nice to spend a few days to enjoy this great town.

I would highly recommend Evora.
I would highly recommend Evora. The Roman Temple is an amazing remnant of ancient times; the Chapel of Bones is fascinating, if a bit macabre and the whole town is lovely. There are a number of beautiful churches, many of which had services on Sunday. We liked that one can walk everywhere and that there seemed to be a lot of locals around (not only tourists!). We found an excellent restaurant where we had traditional Alentejo dishes. One needs a full day here at least (preferably 2 nights).

Lovely place to visit.
Lovely place to visit. Full of history and lovely buildings. Some great places to eat too. We ate at Enoteca Cartuxa - highly recommended but booking needed. We went on a Monday and it was busy. Walked around most of the walled city but could have done with more than 24 hours to see it properly.

Authentic old city. Not too crowded with tourists.
Authentic old city. Not too crowded with tourists. Food scene was great - ate at restaurant called Momento which was one of our best dining experiences during our 18 day trip through Portugal. It was a small restaurant with a very engaging owner/chef who spends time with each guest explaining the farm-to-table eating adventure.
This was the best hotel experience in Portugal. The location is excellent. The rooms are big and decorated in a beautiful way. It was so comfy and cozy I did not want to leave the room. Breakfast was really good. On my first day, I was alone in a hotel and in the morning they got my table ready in advance. That was so nice gesture. They are friendly and helpful. The hotel has lovely small library and terrace with nice views. Oh, I forgot to mention little coffee machine in a room with one of the most tasty coffee capsules ever.
Everything at Quinta do Cano exceeded expectations. The property is stunning with numerous spaces to read, snack, rest, or take in the incredible views of the garden, olive trees, Roman Aqueduct, the valley . . . The dogs are an added bonus and beyond friendly. The hosts provide cold drinks and snacks for a small fee, but cake, coffee, and tea are complimentary. The 10 euro breakfast was worth every cent for the location alone. This was one of the most beautiful properties I enjoyed in Portugal and definitely recommend it.
Breakfast - truly superb.
Beds bedlinen and towels - very good. Towels were big enough to wrap tound yourself not usual in Portugal
I was at first put off - it was a bit scruffy outside and restaurant closed. But i realised it had survived Covid and it was a lovely place at very reasonable cost. Swimming pool.tennis court garden, patio with our room, lovely staff. Good location thank goodmess we were not in Evora itself.
Id stay again for sure
Excellent location within the walled city of Evora and an easy walk to free parking less than 10 minutes away from the hotel and all of the cities attractions. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good and our room( studio) was spacious. Would not recommend for those with mobility issues as there were many stairs. Advertised roof top terrace was disappointing. Small, not clean and no shade though the view was great.
Hosts were exceptional! Miguel provided us with a wonderful introduction to Evora and Portugal. His knowledge of the area is phenomenal and was the highlight of our trip. The place is very peaceful, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The room was clean and we want to thank Raquel for being such a friendly host. We hope to return shortly in the future! Highly recommend staying here!
The location is unbeatable. In the center of Evora next to restaurants and shops, the Roman ruins and the main cathedral. Staff were great. Enjoyed the fact that this hotel was an old convent / monastery so felt like we were stepping back in time… Very special for that reason. Breakfast was good. Parking available but we were there off season so had a space in their parking facility.
Given the low cost of this hotel we were extremely impressed with the facilities, it felt a luxury hotel compared to many in Portugal. The breakfast was fantastic and the fact it's included in the low price was amazing. Location is perfect, close to the town but quiet. Parking was easy as well. We only stayed one night but it was probably the best hotel of our trip in Portugal.
Great location and comfortable, modern facilities. Our room, on the third floor, was quiet and had a nice view. Up-to-date hotel in the historic center was a perfect base for visiting the main sights of Èvora. Very comfortable, good shower and good breakfast. Elevator made getting luggage up to our room easy. Secure (and picturesque!) parking down the street.
Overall design of the hotel is very nice and modern.
Very comfortable, clean, modern, room.
Perfect location for exploring the walled-city portion of Evora.
Great breakfast.
Very good restaurant.
Nice rooftop bar/pool (although the pool is a little odd - very shallow. Not good for swimming, but ok for cooling off on a hot day).
Loved this hotel!! Everyone that worked here was beyond friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Evora. If I had one complaint is that the rooms are not sound proof and you can hear people walking or closing doors. But that did not bother me that was all part of the charm.
Location ideal for Skydive Portugal.
The room was a basic twin room which was clean and tidy with a good ensuite.
The breakfast was OK ... what you'd expect for a hotel like this. The selection was a bit limited though ... especially for the hot items.
Nice large foyer / bar seating area.
The hotel has a fabulous salt-water pool, which sure was a relief on those hot days. Very friendly staff. Perfect location just outside of downtown Evora, making those trips to the surrounding white-washed, hilltop villages even easier. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Evora, and I'll be back.
Well located, a short walk from the centre, with parking directly next to the hotel. The property has a modern feel, is well furnished and has great facilities including the rooftop pool. The breakfast choice was excellent. Ideal for a few nights stay whilst exploring historic Evora!
Victor is an amazing host, warm and caring, and the hotel has a perfect location in the center of Evora, is very quiet and the swimming pool is huge for a 5 rooms hotel. The rooms opened to guest in the main house are worth the trip.
If you want to go to Evora, book this hotel.
The hotel has a fascinating, ancient history from 16th century, Évora’s first hotel in 1892 and a centre for spies during the revolutionary period in 1960s and 70s. Today it is comfortably old fashioned either delightful staff and great fire on winter’s cooler evenings.
Location: excellent! Right in the historic center of Évora. From here, you can walk everywhere you want to see. The hotel has a unique feeling of coziness, and the staff is amicable and willing to help. The room is spacious, clean, and has all the expected amenities.
Liked the staff, overall idea of hotel in rural setting, surrounded by wild flowers and sheep.
Great pool, great SPA experience : one of the best.
Location was perfect. Close enough from Évora to get an uber and go to town without having to drive.
Everything exceeded our expectations. The food was very good, which is unusual for a hotel restaurant, and our wait staff (Beatriz) was so attentive. Gave us some great recommendations for highlights in Évora!
