Our accommodations were ample, the breakfast excellent, and the staff very helpful. Would stay there again.
Small and peaceful, this hotel is a great place to relax and explore the sandy beaches of Costa Vicentina Natural Park. It offers an outdoor pool with a spacious sun deck.

The location was great for walking the Fisherman’s Trail - the staff were amazing and very helpful. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Loved sitting out by the pool array to read and relax. The breakfast included was very generous and tasty. The property is great value for the stay.

Super welcoming host, good value and nice atmosphere. There was a reggae live music on Saturday which was cool. Overall nice stay and close to the beach.

We really loved to stay in Herdade Monte do Sol . We stayed for three weeks !
The apartment is big, the view is exceptional. Very calm and quiet, the air is fresh and amazing. In the night you hear the sound of frogs , so lovely. There are several peackocks, we so enjoyed their beauty....
We love birds, and so it was lovely for us to hear the birds twittering and singing all day long.
It was wintertime when we stayed here ( February) we were surprised to see how lush green was the whole place , we went for walks on the poperty, it is big ! and beautiful ! there were flowers everywhere, and flowering trees !
Hens and roosters , very healthy looking. Horses, goats , friendly dogs and cats. ( they did not come into the house , if you did not want them to )
The host family is very very friendly, they helped us with everything. ( for instance Sofia and Daniela arranged for a massage therapist, when one of us hurt their back. )
Sofia even offered to wash our laundry, very much appreciated!
Her partner ( I cant spell his name) gave us very good Portuguese wine to try...
Everyone was very caring.
Thank you so much !
We were served beautiful and rich breakfast to our apartment every morning.
The apartment was cleaned every day ! Fresh towels and bedding every few days....
Cleaner ladies very friendly and unintruive too..
And the bed is comfortable ( very important for me )
When my daughter's children came to visit us, they always made a lot of noise, but they were completely accepted.
It made our stay so relaxed . Thank you again !
I really really loved the view ... Even on the days when it was rainy and windy and cold . the view was so beautiful ....
Amazing sunsets to watch !
I would definitely recommend this beautiful place to everyone. And if we come back to this area, we will surely stay here again.

Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. In the evening, in Aljezur, always book ahead a table.

A magical small village with tiny streets and houses, nice restaurants The river is full of life, edpecially dozens of turtles sun bathing. the beaches are close and the castle above the city gives a nice overview although it is just a ruin.
nice massage at “em boas maos“ at the other side of the river in the new part of town.
there is also a nice walkway east of the castle directly below with benches to rest and look over the whole village and countryside.

We hope to return.
We hope to return. The presence of an active cultural life was important for us. We felt like we were in a town and region alive and not just a tourist setting.
By the way, asking these questions in English also, would be helpful.

What I liked is that it is truly a get away from the busier touristy parts of Portugal. What I didn't like is that google maps has its location for a national park located in the middle of a farm that has sand on the surrounding roads that are easy to get stuck in.

If you want to explore the west coast of Portugal Aljezur is a good choice for a stop over. We travelled from the south and beaches we visited on our way were spectacular. Going North this morning it was equally as good.
We spent one wonderful and relaxing week in the casa alva. Our apartment was very clean and well equipped. The location is very quiet, as it is in the middle of a nature reserve. We barely heard civilisation noise, only nature was present. Our host Francesca made a perfect job. Her breakfast with all the local products was very rich and tasty. Even a five-star hotel couldn’t do it better. She was also very helpful and gave as some good restaurant recommendations and ideas for other activities. A real insider tip in the Algarve!
we loved our stay at Praia do Canal. The
location of the property in a natural reserve
is unique. We enjoyed the views from our room
into the landscape and over the ocean.
food was spectacularly good and we very
much appreciated the friendly and competent staff.
in the restaurant and throughout the hotel.
The entire area of Aljezur with its amazing
beaches and cliffs is fantastic. a Special
shout out to the architects. very rare that
a Ressort hotel is aesthetically appealing.
Emmanuel showed me the place and was extremely friendly and helpful. Answered questions I had and even came to the rescue with a phone charger when I lost mine. The hotel consists of different rooms (mine had a balcony), a shared kitchen, living room, and bathrooms. Everything is clean and there is plenty of room. It’s a very short walk to several restaurants by the church, which is one of the central points in town.
This is one of the best places we have stayed in Portugal while doing the Rota Vicentina. We got a private room with bathroom for an incredible price!!! We are actually going to stay 2 more nights. Need a break/rest days from trail. Free laundry. Super affordable. Highly recommend. We are 2 friends in 40s and 50s. Free coffee and tea. Excellent rooftop terrace. Great shower. Excellent location. Great hangout space.
A 10/10 or 5-stars doesn’t begin to describe the amazing experience, the beautiful land, the comfortable tents and most of all the amazing and beautiful people. Booking.com should invent a higher rating, just for this place.
The yoga in the morning was amazing, breakfast was lovely, …
The beach at Arifana nearby is perfect for beginner surfers.
We had the best time!!
Prepared and helpful staff along with an amazing breakfast. We stayed in a few four star hotels in our Portugal trip and the breakfast we had here was at the same level in matter of selection and miles better than any of those in matter of quality of products.
Moreover, now the hotel has showers rather than bathtubs, which for us was a very welcome upgrade.
I was able to relax as soon as I entered the house. It is a beautiful place with tranquility. It is a place where one can relax the body and spirit while enjoying the Nature/ Ocean. Nearby are beauitful beaches. Jo and Diogo were helpful with facilities and questions. I wish I could stay for longer. Highly recommend!!
Lovely decor and quiet, comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast - I particularly liked the loose leaf tea in reusable infusers. The whole place has a really tranquil vibe and is excellent value. Near some good eateries and not too far from Arrifana beach.
Fantastic hostess, great muffins - a great option for breakfast the next day. Nearby there is a very good restaurant and a shop where you can eat breakfast, buy a sandwich on the road.
This is an absolutely delightful property near the surfing beach and the Fisherman’s Trail. Great property, fabulous staff and a good breakfast to top off a wonderful stop.
Helpful, friendly staff.
Simple but attractive room decor, no TV.
Good breakfast,
Free tea/coffee/water available.
Short walk to nearby bars & restaurants.
Good WIFI.
Very good lokation in the center of Aljezur, very clean, spacious room with the kitchen and balcony with excellent viee. Parking in front of the hotel, excellent breakfast.
