Penha Longa is an elegant palazzo-style estate situated among the rolling hills of the Sintra Cascais Nature Reserve. The Penha Longa Mercatto italian restaurant is also the site of the daily breakfast buffet, with scenic views over the Sintra mountains. The resort's golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and is in the top 30 in Continental Europe. The hotel has many recreation facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools, both tennis and squash courts, horse riding, fitness centre and a spa with treatments and an exclusive garden.
