The Pantheon contains the symbolic tombs of Henry the Navigator, Luís Vaz de Camões, Pedro Álvares Cabral, Afonso de Albuquerque , Nuno Álvares Pereira, Vasco da Gama.
It also contains the remains of past presidents of Portugal and several writers: Almeida Garrett, João de Deus and Guerra Junquiero.
Its most recent honoured resident is the fado singer Amalia Rodrigues |
