Window of one of the many derelict houses in and around Sintra. Many of these houses are very beautiful but look like they haven't been lived in for years.
The closest I got to an explanation is they were built by wealthy families. But now there isn't enough money to keep them - however there is a a certain amount of pride in owning them?! |
