The Quinta da Cova do Milho is situated in Santo António da Serra, Santa Cruz, about 10 minutes from the Santa Catarina airport. It was built around 1930 by the Farra family and then burned by the owners as a way of avoiding illegal occupation by others during the April 1974 revolution. Later on, in the year 1993, the Quinta was acquired by the Pontes family. It was in a completely abandoned state and has been rebuilt along the years.
