The property
A modern holiday apartment for rent in Carcavelos, a charming little town in the municipality of Cascais on the Lisbon Coast. The apartments ideal location makes hiring a car optional. Carcavelos train station is only 10 minutes walk from the apartment and theres a regular train service to Cascais, Estoril and Lisbon. Carcavelos beach is one of the best beaches on the Estoril Coast and is just a 15 - 20 minutes walk from the apartment. Six superb golf courses and the historic town of Sintra (classified as a World Heritage Site) are just a short drive away.

Theres ground level access to the apartment from the rear. The hall leads to the south facing living rooms, bedrooms and veranda at the front of the apartment, which are actual on the first floor as the garages are directly below. The apartment is for rent with 1 or 2 bedrooms the master bedroom with a double bed, and the second bedroom with bunk beds. Theres also the possibility of sleeping an additional 2 people on twin beds in the lounge the beds can be convert into a sofa during the day. There is a sunny south facing living room with an open fireplace for the winter and an overhead fan for the summer. There is also cable TV, video, DVD player and wireless broadband internet access. As you would expect from a modern self catering holiday apartment, theres a fully equipped kitchen and one complete bathroom. The veranda is the perfect place to relax with a drink after a long day on the golf course or beach. Alternatively BBQ yourselves some freshly caught Portuguese sardines or other local delicacies that you can find at the supermarket over the road. The veranda, with access from both bedrooms and the living room, gets sunshine for most of the day and has garden furniture for four, an awing and sunshade.

Theres a landscaped park with tennis courts and childrens recreation ground behind the apartment. Theres also private parking in the front. The apartment also has a cool box, sunshade and windbreak for the beach.

This holiday apartment is for rent in Carcavelos, a small coastal town on the Estoril Coast in Portugal, conveniently situated between Lisbon and Cascais. The apartment is ideally located with a supermarket, pharmacy, bank, post office and numerous restaurants, cafés and bars just steps from the front door. Behind the apartment theres a public park with two tennis courts and a childrens playground set in landscaped parkland.

The apartment is just 10 minutes walk from an excellent train service to Lisbon, Estoril and Cascais, which means a hire car isnt essential. With the beach just 20 minutes walk from the apartment and a host of sports facilities include golf, tennis and water sports on hand, this is the perfect location for your next self catering holiday on the Lisbon Coast. With over a dozen golf courses and fabulous weather, the Lisbon Coast makes for excellent golfing holidays. There are several 18 hole championship golf courses within 20 minutes drive of the apartment, including Penha Longa, Estoril, Quinta da Beloura and Quinta da Marinha.

With the São Julião da Barra Fort dominating at one end, Carcavelos Beach is the largest expanse of sand on the Estoril coast and regularly hosts beach volleyball and football competitions.

Given its proximity to Lisbon and easy means of access, Carcavelos Beach is highly popular during the summer while in winter it is mostly given over to the surfing and bodyboarding communities, brought in by the excellent conditions here.

Next to the Beach, there is a wide choice of renowned restaurants in addition to bars and terraces just perfect for some quality time in the sun.
