There are a fair few eateries on The Strip too with a good range of cafes and restaurants catering for most tastes. The quality of one or two, however, may not impress every traveller! Generally, the busier the place and the more Portuguese that are eating there.
Whilst originally, as the name suggests, the 2Km Strip was just one main road of bars and clubs, it has spread to adjacent blocks. It is worth pointing out that The Strip is actually around 3Km out of Albufeira's town centre.
Albufeira's, and possibly Portugal's, best known club is actually several miles outside of town, about halfway to Vilamoura. Kadoc itself is vast accommodating up to 7,000 clubbers over 5 dance floors with a sub-tropical garden terrace outside. Kadoc regularly attracts big name DJs from all over Europe.
Albufeira's other big out of town club is Kiss. Whilst having a modest 3 dance floors Kiss gives Kadoc a run for its money in terms of popularity and tunes. It can get busy so be warned.
For those looking for a slightly more upmarket, yet still lively, night then the bars and restaurants in Albufeira's pedestrianized town centre are a better bet. The area is teaming with souvenir stalls, bars and restaurants some of which attract locals and tourists alike. This is still Albufeira though so don't be surprised to see plenty of themed sports bars, cocktail bars and cheesy clubs!
